Tools & Equipment

Build your aircraft maintenance toolkit around the jobs you actually carry out. Jhears Aero's Tools & Equipment collection brings together hand tools, safety-wire equipment, inspection lighting and cameras, sheet-metal tools and adhesive applicators, alongside equipment for general workshop use. Compare individual specifications to choose the right size, reach and operating range for your task.

Hand tools for access and fastening

The range includes ratchets, combination and ring spanners, crowfoot wrenches, pliers and compact screwdriver sets. Check the drive size, metric or imperial dimensions and available clearance before choosing. Longer handles and swivel heads offer different access options, but the correct tool still depends on the fastener and the maintenance procedure. A general-purpose tool is not automatically suitable for every aircraft application.

Safety wiring, inspection and sheet-metal work

Compare lockwire twisting pliers and safety-wire sizes against the requirements of the job. Inspection penlights, head torches and borescope cameras provide different ways to view restricted areas; check probe dimensions, lighting and the manufacturer's permitted uses. For sheet-metal tasks, the collection includes straight and right-cut snips, needle files and a rivet hammer kit. Select equipment for the material, thickness and process specified in the applicable maintenance instructions.

Dispensing and workshop support

Caulking guns, tube-grip dispensers, two-part adhesive applicators and mixing accessories help organise application work. Confirm cartridge size, applicator compatibility and any required mixing components before ordering. Workshop equipment and portable power tools have their own operating requirements, so check the product details rather than assuming batteries, accessories or consumables are included.

Check suitability before use

For aircraft work, follow the applicable maintenance data and your organisation's tool-control procedures. Where a task requires calibrated or specialist equipment, verify that requirement separately. Inclusion in this collection does not establish aircraft approval, certification or suitability for a safety-critical task. Review dimensions, specifications and manufacturer documentation before adding an item to your toolkit.
