LOCTITE 542 is a thread sealant for fine-threaded metal fittings in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This 50ml bottle is a practical workshop supply when the equipment manufacturer's maintenance instructions specify this product.
The anaerobic formulation cures when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air. Before use, check the current manufacturer's technical data sheet for material suitability, preparation, application, cure conditions and disassembly requirements.
Choose a sealant to match the fitting and system, rather than treating thread sealants as interchangeable.
